ISLAMABAD: The new prices of petroleum products will be determined on May 17 (today), as opposed to the regular mid-month date (the 15th), a spokesperson for the
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) said on Saturday.
The spokesperson said that due to the May 8-16 curbs and Eid holidays, it was decided that the new prices will be decided on Monday, May 17.
The prices of petroleum products, will therefore, continue as previously notified, till May 17.
In a bid to give relief to the masses in the holy month of Ramadan, Prime Minister Imran Khan decided not to increase the price of petroleum products, a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance had said on April 30.

Tetraplegic Sophia Malthus was among disabled protesters clutching placards who rallied in Greenlane today calling on authorities to save the Laura Fergusson Trust.
The Trust supports young disabled people with physical and neurological impairments.
Its rehabilitation centre has been providing treatment from its home and respite care unit for almost half a century, so young people with disabilities don t have to be confined in rest homes.
Palestine Solidarity Day to be observed today

Islamabad : Palestine Solidarity Day will be observed across the country on Sunday to express solidarity with the people of Palestine and highlight Zionist brutalities against the innocent Palestinian Muslims.
Talking to media the leaders of Milli Yakjehti Council Raja Nasir Abbas, Syed Saqib Akbar and others said motorcycle rallies with SOPs (standard operating procedures) would be arranged in different cities to mark the Day and denounce Israeli actions against Palestinian Muslims.
A car rally will be taken out from Community Centre, Karachi Company to D Chowk, Islamabad.
Leaders and workers of component parties of Milli Yakjehti Council will participate in the rallies on Sunday.
